daniel johnson, field organizer for Jackson build,

Cocoon is a crowd-and locally-sourced outdoor sculpture performance project Kate has produced in three cities — first in Mexico City in 2009, and then twice in Mississippi, in Greenwood in 2010 and then Jackson 2012. Work has begun in the South Bronx, NY and the most recent Cocoon was completed in Paris, Goutte d’Or in October, 2014.

 

daniel johnson acted as Field Organizer for Cocoon Jackson and was subsequently hired on to assist in the facilitation of the international Cocoon project. He worked closely with Kate and the Paris team through Skype and online databases to ensure the integrity of the work through its communications, internal organization and systems of relationship.
