In 2012 and 2013 i was hired as a facilitator by artists commissioned to create work for the Mississippi Museum of Art's series C3: Creativity. Conversation. Community. During the 2013 piece, The Future is on the Table #4 by Gwylene Gallimard and Jean-Marie Mauclet, my wife and i were inspired to collaborate on a relational work responding to their piece.

 

With all of the community activity to create the visual work of The Future is on the Table #4, there was very little time for this diverse selection of people to really sit down and have relaxed conversation - the types of conversations where connections are made and from which self-initiated collaborations emerge.

 

The staging of What is Dinner? a table must have a setting was significant on many levels, but at the end of the day, the significance was in the community bonds strengthened over a meal.
