Road Trips

One of the key considerations we repeatedly heard from Museum staff was the desire to meaningfully invite the entire state to participate in the project. Having the submission of a symbol being easily accomplished by mail or cell phone - drawn on a napkin at a restaurant or in wet sand at the beach - made state-wide participation pretty accessible, but it certainly didn't feel far enough. We felt it was important to meet people face to face, hang posters, and place fliers in large and small cities around the state. CAO daniel johnson jumped in the car with Marketing Director Julian Rankin and made two road trips covering the North first, and then the South of the state.
